Paramour, wife suspected in murder cases

A married woman was allegedly killed by her lover, while a man was killed by his wife and her accomplices who buried his body in a room.

Police took both the bodies into custody and registered cases against the suspects.

A woman resident of the 466GB area told the police that her 25-year-old daughter Saima Bibi had rented a house near Shahbaz Sharif Park after a dispute with her husband.

During the time, she allegedly had an affair with Muhammad Zahid, a resident of Samundri.

Her daughter left her rented house and went to another place. When she went to pick up her belongings, the accused Zahid refused to let her take them. When her daughter refused to listen, Zahid mixed poison in a soft drink and gave it to Saima. Her condition deteriorated after consuming the drink and she was shifted to a hospital, where she died. The police registered a case and started efforts to arrest the suspect.

Meanwhile, according to the police, Mukhtar Ahmed, a resident of 236GB, filed a complaint stating that his son, Muhammad Ali, aged 40, had a dispute with his wife Zareena Bibi two months ago.

He alleged that the woman along with her accomplices killed Muhammad Ali and buried his body in a room.

The suspects then went to Mushtaq Ahmed and Mashkoor Hussain, confessing to the crime and seeking forgiveness.

The police recovered the body after digging up the room and handed it over to the deceased’s heirs after post-mortem.

A few days back, unknown persons had killed a woman by putting a noose around her neck and thrown her body in agricultural fields in the Saddar area. The police took possession of the body and shifted it to a hospital. They started a search for the relatives of the deceased.

Sub-Inspector Saleem Raza stated in a report registered at the Saddar police station that the 27-year-old unidentified woman had been found dead by the police while patrolling in the fields near the Tipu Gujjar area. He stated that the victim had been killed by unknown persons who had put a noose around her neck. The police shifted the body to the Allied Hospital.
