Meghan Markle's recent disputes with high-profile celebrities could threaten her future podcast success, warns a celebrity expert.

The Duchess of Sussex, 42, signed with Lemonada Media in February after her Spotify deal ended abruptly.

A celebrity PR specialist highlighted the importance of social networking in Hollywood and urged Meghan to be cautious with her relationships. Kayley Cornelius, speaking for Betfred, told Express.co.uk, "Clique culture is highly prominent among Hollywood celebrities, where social networks and associations can significantly influence one's career trajectory. Being part of a well-regarded group can open doors to coveted roles, high-profile collaborations, and media attention. Relationships in Hollywood can often extend beyond personal connections to professional alliances, where who you know can be as critical as talent and hard work in determining success."

Cornelius emphasised that Meghan's public conflicts with celebrities like the Beckhams and George Clooney could harm her future projects. "With this in mind, there’s no doubt that Meghan's recent public falling outs with high-profile celebrities will have a knock-on effect. It may deter others from working with the Duchess due to concerns about how it could impact their own reputations."

For Meghan's new podcast to succeed, Cornelius stated, "Meghan and her team are going to have to bring something seriously fresh to the table. The success of Meghan’s new podcast will depend on a variety of factors such as the marketing, guests, and topics discussed."

Meghan's Spotify deal ended after just 12 episodes. Bill Simmons, Spotify's head of podcast innovation, criticised the couple, calling them "f****** grifters." Meghan and Harry produced less than 13 hours of content during their three-year deal. However, the new Lemonada deal marks a new phase for the couple. A statement on their website read, "I’m proud to now be able to share that I am joining the brilliant team at Lemonada to continue my love of podcasting."
