ISLAMABAD:

The Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) has granted bail to lawyer Fatahullah Barki, who was arrested for allegedly assaulting Khawar Maneka.

The court heard Barki's bail application in the case concerning the altercation with Khawar Maneka.

Barki argued that charges under Section 324 and terrorism were baseless as there was no evidence to support them. He pointed out that watching the video of the incident did not substantiate any wrongdoing, emphasizing that a single slap does not constitute a criminal offense. Despite this, Barki had been in custody for eight days.

Justice Tahir Abbas Supra of the Islamabad Anti-Terrorism Court approved Barki's bail after a surety of 50,000 rupees.
