Larkana municipality unveils Rs3b budget

Larkana Municipal Corporation (LMC) Mayor Advocate Anwar Ali Lohar Thursday chaired a meeting in which the budget of LMC for the fiscal year 2024-25 was approved by consensus.

LMC Finance Committee Chairman Muhammad Qasim Brohi presenting the budget said that in the total outlay of Rs3.17 billion has surplus of Rs100 million.

According to the figures given in the budget, the opening balance of the municipal corporation on July 1, 2024 will be Rs110.8 million. The share of the total income of the next financial year is R3.5 billion, while the total cost will be R3.6 billion.

Similarly, the closing balance of the municipal corporation on 30 June 2025 will be Rs100.68 million. He The LMC has set aside Rs1.19 billion for the payment of salaries, while Rs360 million have been kept for pension, gratuity, and financial support. At least Rs730 million have been reserved for other expenses.
