13 WAPDA employees sacked

In the last nine months, 3,919 cases of electricity theft have been registered in different police stations

Wapda Executive Engineer Naveed Bhatti terminated 13 employees involved in electricity theft.

Those terminated include nine meter readers, two ALMs, two IS-1, and two IS-2 officials.

Action was taken against them after evidence was found. In the last nine months, 3,919 cases of electricity theft have been registered in different police stations, and 2,181 accused have been arrested.

A detection bill of Rs 79,489,000 has been issued to electricity thieves.
