Piers Morgan compares Taylor Swift's audience connection to Freddie Mercury and Michael Jackson

Piers Morgan, known for his candid opinions, has recently expressed high praise for Taylor Swift, acknowledging her unique ability to connect with her audience during the Eras Tour. Attending a concert for the first time in years, Morgan was moved by Swift's performance at Wembley, stating, "In my Bizarre days, I saw better live singers (Freddie Mercury), better dancers (Jacko), and better all-round musicians (Prince), but I’ve never seen anyone with a stronger connection to her audience than Taylor Swift."

Despite past criticisms, the former showbiz editor noted that Swift's songwriting resonates deeply with fans, describing her music as "the purest form of pop music, each one telling its own little story, each one touching the heartstrings in its own little way." 

This shift in tone from Morgan comes after various public stances over the years, where his view of Swift has fluctuated dramatically.

In the past, Morgan has been critical of Swift, especially following a publicized fallout with Kanye West, which saw him questioning her integrity. 

However, his current views reflect a significant change, prompted by her performance prowess and commercial success, with the Eras Tour projected to gross over £1.5 billion from ticket sales.
