KARACHI:

A senior leader of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) former member of National Assembly Sheikh Salahuddin has left the party and joined Awam Pakistan Party.

He did not give any reasons for changing his political affiliation. In an exclusive conversation with The Express Tribune, Salahuddin said that he has left MQM-Pakistan and now he is not related to MQM. He said that he was in constant contact with Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and was one of the founding members of the newly formed party Awam Pakistan Party.

MQM-P did not give Salahuddin ticket for the 2024 election. Sources said that Salahuddin left MQM-P because the party did not issue him the ticket for elections.
