Accused in camel case remanded to police custody

Sanghar police had arrested six accused in case of hacking off camel’s leg

Police on Thursday produced six persons before the Judicial Magistrate who were involved in chopping off the leg of a camel. The court granted two-day physical remand of the accused and handed them over to the police.

The investigation officer, DSP Loong Khan said that the court had earlier granted a six-day physical remand of the accused, and now another two-day remand has been granted. The police are investigating the case thoroughly.

The accused include landlord Khan Shar, contractor Jafar Ali Jutt and his farmers Abid Ali, Abdul Shakoor, Rustom Khan, and Gul Baig Lashari. Two axes have also been recovered from the accused, and two of them have confessed to the crime.

The DSP said that further investigations are underway, and the owner of the camel will get justice.
