British-Pakistani philanthropist awarded CBE

King Charles III has conferred the Commander of the British Empire (CBE) honour upon Asif Rangoonwala, a British-Pakistani philanthropist and entrepreneur.

Asif Rangoonwala has been honoured by King Charles III in the 2024 Birthday Honours list for his philanthropic contributions in the United Kingdom and South Asia, particularly in Pakistan.

Asif Rangoonwala CBE, Vice Chair of the British Asian Trust (BAT), was recognized for his contributions to charity and philanthropy. Asif Rangoonwala CBE, talking to the media, said, “I am profoundly honoured and humbled by this recognition.”

It is indeed a privilege for us being Pakistani. I further take opportunity to introduce to you Dr. Mahboob ur Rahman Chairman of Habib Physiotherapy Complex Peshawar who has great services for the Persons with disabilities PWDs in Pakistan especially in the province. He was the pioneer in establishing a comprehensive physical rehabilitation complex rehabilitation institute and first ever inclusive school for education. He is renowned philanthropist and inventor like Mahboob Rehab Gloves Mahboob Evaluation Chart and CPAP a local low cost ventilator. It is requested that he may be considered for this award
