Hospital staff blamed for youth’s death

A 24-year-old youth died in a hospital’s emergency ward on the second day of Eid.

Relatives of the deceased protested and accused the staff on duty in the emergency ward of alleged negligence.

Deputy Commissioner (DC), Syed Manoor Abbas Bukhari, expressed his anger over the incident and issued orders to CEO Health to complete the inquiry.’

Police said Adnan Bhatti, a resident of Mohalla Bhattianwala, was brought to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital Emergency Ward due to his sudden health deterioration, but he could not survive.

The relatives protested strongly by keeping the dead body outside the emergency ward and alleged that the hospital staff did not cooperate, even refused to do an ECG, and the youth died due to negligence.

As soon as the information was received, DC, Syed Manoor Abbas Bukhari reached the hospital and issued orders to CEO Health to contact the relatives and complete the inquiry within two days.
