Neelofar is almost finished: Fawad Khan talks upcoming projects, teases ‘two other films’

Actor will reunite with Mahira Khan in two much-anticipated releases

At a recent event, Fawad Khan delighted fans with exciting news about his upcoming projects. The acclaimed actor shared updates on his highly anticipated ventures, saying, "Our film Neelofar is almost in its completion phase so that’s one forthcoming release." 

This much-anticipated film marks another collaboration between Fawad and Mahira Khan, marking the comeback of the beloved Humsafar duo. "There are also some OTT series I have worked on. I’ve also started working on two other films," he further revealed, setting the stage for a year full of his on-screen magic.

Fawad, whose career boasts memorable performances from the 2010 television period drama Dastaan to the 2022 blockbuster The Legend of Maula Jatt, has become a cornerstone of Pakistan's entertainment landscape. For those missing his compelling presence, the news of his return with a lineup of promising projects is a cause for celebration.

Among the actor’s other exciting projects, he will be teaming up with Mahira again for Netflix's first Pakistan-themed original series, Jo Bachay Hain Sang Samait Lo. Based on Farhat Ishtiaq's bestselling novel, the series, produced by Waqas Hassan and Shailja Kejriwal for Zindagi, features an ensemble cast including Sanam Saeed, Ahad Raza Mir, Hamza Ali Abbasi, Bilal Ashraf, Maya Ali, and more.

Fawad's upcoming project roster also includes Aan, a film eagerly awaited by fans. Moreover, he will star in Barzakh, alongside Sanam Saeed. This family drama, set in a fantastical world of supernatural elements, explores intergenerational trauma and an elderly man's pursuit of love. Fawad will portray a single parent haunted by guilt, while Sanam takes on a central female role, promising an engaging and complex narrative for international audiences.
