MQM-P rejects ‘figures manipulation’

Democratic traditions ignored while presenting budget and no pre-budget discussion held

Sindh Assembly Opposition Leader Ali Khurshidi said that MQM-Pakistan has rejected Sindh budget terming it a manipulation of figures. He said the opposition will register a strong protest in the assembly.

He said that democratic traditions were ignored while presenting the budget and no pre-budget discussion was held. Their suggestions were ignored and not considered.

Khurshidi said that the CM presented a traditional budget in which the Safe City project was neglected as usual. The 65 million gallon water project was also not included in the budget.

The budget of the Sindh government is increasing, but the condition of the province is getting worse. Failure is also evident in the health and education sector. The budget copy was also not given on time in the assembly. Khurshidi added that MQM-P wants to establish a good working relationship with Pakistan Peoples Party but youth of Karachi are being killed in street crime.
