During an interview with Lana Del Rey for Interview magazine, published on June 13, the "Birds of a Feather" artist discussed her approach to relationships and shared her discomfort with her behavior when she is in love.

Referencing her song "CHIHIRO," Del Rey, 38, asked Eilish, 22, whether it's "more dangerous to fall in love with you? Or is it more dangerous for you to fall in love?"

"Big question, Lana," Eilish responded.

After some banter, the "Ocean Eyes" singer admitted that it's "50-50."

"I literally hate who I am so much when I’m in love," she said.

"I really don’t like being — I was going to say out of control, but there’s ways that I do like being out of control. I have a power issue and a control issue, and I also don’t like being vulnerable in a romantic way," she continued.

She further elaborated that this makes her feel "uncomfortable" and leads her to question how many times she has "really been in love."

In another part of the interview, Lana Del Rey inquired whether Eilish "does get hurt sometimes" because she is good at hiding it, particularly considering the vulnerability expressed in her recent album.

The "Lovely" singer responded, "I would rather suffer in silence than tell you something’s bothering me and have you think I’m sensitive."

"I come off as a person that doesn’t care. I care about people and I have love and passion, but in relationships, I found myself never ever expressing any of my needs," she added.
