The ongoing rap feud between Kendrick Lamar and Drake intensified on May 3rd, beginning with Kendrick’s release of "6:16 In LA," a follow-up to "Euphoria."

Later that night, Drake responded with "Family Matters," a track accusing Kendrick of colorism and domestic violence. Kendrick swiftly countered with "Meet The Grahams," a diss track that accused Drake of being a deadbeat father and allegedly employing sex offenders. The next day, Kendrick followed up with the club hit "Not Like Us."

Compton artist Jason Martin, appearing on Bootleg Kev's show, shared insights into Kendrick’s reaction to "Family Matters." Martin, who was in direct contact with Kendrick during the feud, explained that Kendrick was not fazed by Drake’s track. “He told me he had been waiting for a response,” Martin said. Martin recounted how Kendrick’s diss track "Meet The Grahams" was uploaded shortly after their conversation.

Martin noted in the interview that, while he appreciates Drake's music, he believes Kendrick operates on a different level. “Kendrick is on a whole different planet with his music,” Martin remarked.

He suggested that Drake underestimated Kendrick’s strategic approach to the feud. According to Martin, Kendrick outmaneuvered Drake throughout the exchange, leaving Drake’s subsequent releases, including "U MY EVERYTHING" and "Wah Gwan Delilah," criticized by many.
