Kristin Cavallari has opened up about how the stress from her marriage to ex-husband Jay Cutler significantly impacted her body during the filming of her E! series, Very Cavallari. In a candid discussion on the June 11 episode of her podcast, Let's Be Honest With Kristin Cavallari, the reality star detailed the toll her failing marriage took on her health.

"I was very thin," Cavallari revealed. "I'll put it in perspective for you guys: I'm 5'3". I currently weigh 114 pounds. Filming Very Cavallari, I got down to 102 and I was eating the same amount of food that I'm eating now. The difference was I was so unhappy and so stressed out."

The 37-year-old reflected on how difficult it is for her to look at photos from that period. "I look back at photos from that time period, and I am like, 'Holy s--t!'" she said. "I was rail f--king thin. I was skin and bones. I looked like s--t. I think I look so much better now. And you guys, that was just stress. That was being in a really unhappy marriage."

Cavallari, who shares three children with Cutler—Camden, 11; Jaxon, 10; and Saylor, 8—also recalled being overwhelmed with responsibilities. "I was so unhappy that I was just trying to max out," she added. "But I also wasn't lifting heavy weights like I am now, too. But that was stress. But now, I'm just taking care of myself in so many more ways too."

Discussing her current fitness routine, Cavallari emphasized the importance of consistency. She works out four to five days a week, including sessions with a trainer and lifting weights on her own. "I think with the gym, it's consistency," she said. "It's just showing up for yourself. And listen, if I'm really busy and I only work out two to three times a week, fine. I used to get mad at myself, and I would feel guilty and it was just like, ugh, a really horrible way of living. Where now, I'm like, 'OK, I just needed a little bit more rest this week.' I actually think rest is just as important, too."

Cavallari and Cutler announced their breakup and the end of Very Cavallari in 2020. Reflecting on the decision, Cavallari shared on the School of Greatness podcast in 2022, "The scariest thing I've ever done is get a divorce. But it's the best thing I've ever done, and that has really jump-started my journey on self-love and who I am now."

Currently, Cavallari is in a new relationship with Mark Estes, a member of Montana Boyz. She debuted their romance in February 2024, captioning a photo of the couple, "He makes me happy."
