JoJo Siwa takes on an intense new character.

The 21-year-old "Karma" artist features in a snippet, exclusively revealed by People Magazine, from the slasher film #AMFAD: All My Friends Are Dead, ahead of its debut at the Tribeca Festival.

In the footage, Siwa's character is depicted sprinting through the forest, accompanied by a cryptic voiceover from another character reflecting on friendship.

"You may have heard of a person like this before, the friend who got you like no other. The one who was quick to defend. The one who was such a light for others," JoJo’s character says.

"It was an honor when they shared their hurt and their fears. It made you feel special. And it was inevitable someone would be drawn to that light just to destroy it."

According to a synopsis from the Tribeca Festival, #AMFAD: All My Friends Are Dead tracks a cohort of young friends en route to a music festival named Karmapalooza, who find themselves stranded at an Airbnb following a car accident.

"Being stuck indoors together causes their internal rifts and shared past to surface," hints the synopsis. "Even worse, an uninvited guest joins the party and decides they need to pay for their transgressions by murdering them in extremely gory ways tied to their specific sins."

The ensemble also features Jade Pettyjohn, Jennifer Ens, Ali Fumiko Whitney, Michaella Russell, Julian Haig, Justin Derickson, Cardi Wong, and Jack Doupe-Smith.

Directed by Marcus Dunstan, known for his previous film "Unhuman" in 2022 and contributions to the screenplays of several Saw films. The script for this movie was penned by screenwriters John Baldecchi, Jessica Sarah Flaum, and Josh Sims.

#AMFAD: All My Friends Are Dead debuts at the Tribeca Festival on June 8th, followed by its release in theaters, digital platforms, and on demand on August 2nd.
