The Federal Investigation Agency's (FIA) cybercrime circle has arrested a suspect named Muhammad Amir on charges of harassing a woman on TikTok in Karachi, Express News reported.

The arrest followed a complaint from a couple who accused Amir of blackmailing them with an inappropriate video of the woman.

Amir was apprehended in the Safora area after the couple alleged that he had been extorting money from them. According to the complaint, Amir used the video to harass the woman and demand payment from the couple.

In a separate case, the FIA conducted another operation on court orders, leading to the arrest of Ravi Kumar and his brother Sunil Kumar. Ravi Kumar is accused of harassing his fiancée and her family by disseminating inappropriate content on TikTok, with assistance from his brother.

The fiancée had been engaged to Ravi Kumar for several years. The inappropriate content shared by Kumar within their community allegedly led to the divorce of the woman’s sister.

Despite the case being registered, the woman and her family continued to receive threats, urging them to leave the locality.
