The three-day Shandur Polo Festival will start from July 08 at an altitude of 12,000 feet above sea level.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Ali Amin Gandapur will inaugurate the Polo festival. The traditional teams of Chitral and Gilgit-Baltistan will fight against each other. Foreign tourists are also expected to attend the festival.
In this regard, an important meeting was held in Peshawar under the chair of Advisor to Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on Tourism and Culture Zahid Chanzeb to overview the preparations.
The CM's aide said the PTI government is paying special attention to the development of tourism and successful organization of the Shandur Polo Festival is a test case for the tourism department, provincial government and administration.
