PESHAWAR:

Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf is terming its Swat rally as historic while the opposition parties are dubbing it a flop show.

Senior leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Shaukat Yousafzai said that the meeting of Tehreek-e-Insaf in Swat was historic. He said the opposition is worried about PTI’s popularity as people have rejected their propaganda.

In the era of social media, nothing can be hidden. Not only the rally place was crowded, but the streets and buildings were also full of people, said the PTI leader.

He challenged the PML-N and the People's Party to gather half of the people that were present at Swat rally. Shaukat Yousafzai said the rally was held only on two days' notice and the workers came out without any preparation.

Meanwhile, Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs and Saffron Engineer Amir Muqam questioned if the chief minister announced any development project for the people of Swat in the rally or did he restore the stalled funds.

He said PTI is inciting people to repeat the incidents like May 9, adding they are not doing good with the province. Addressing a public gathering in Swat Malam Jabba, the minister said that they had damaged government and private property on May 9.
