Reserve days: Only the first semi-finals and the final have reserve days. Other matches, including the group stage and Super 8, don't.

Delayed start: If play can't start on time due to rain or other conditions, there's an extra 60 or 90 minutes to complete the match.

Playing duration: Each T20 World Cup match is limited to 20 overs per team, completed within three hours and 10 minutes, including breaks.

Extra time allocation: Matches starting at different times have varying extra time allowances: 90 minutes for morning and afternoon games, and 60 minutes for evening games.

Extension window: Extra time is used before reducing the innings change interval. The sequence is fixed.

Reduction of overs: The revised number of overs depends on the remaining time, calculated at a rate of 14.11 overs per hour.

Minimum requirement: To achieve a result, a minimum of 5 overs per side is needed. This can be adjusted based on the match duration.

Result determination: If weather interrupts, the Duckworth Lewis Stern (DLS) method is used. If no result is possible, both teams share a point.
