Pakistani fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi was surrounded by Indian fans in New York, with images circulating on social media platform X (formerly Twitter) on Saturday.
Photos and a vidoe show Afridi outside a hotel, engaging in conversation with Indian fans. One fan can be heard saying, "I came here to watch the match because of you. Consider Rohit and Virat your friends! Don't bowl too well against them."
The Indian fans were seen joking with Afridi, who responded with laughter and posed for pictures and videos.
The encounter comes ahead of the highly anticipated match between traditional rivals India and Pakistan, set to take place on June 9 at Nassau County Cricket Stadium in New York.
