Matty Healy, was taken by surprise by ex Taylor Swift's latest album, "The Tortured Poets Department," where she apparently referenced their brief relationship.
The 1975 frontman and the Grammy winner, dated for a short period from April to June last year. Swift's tracks, including 'Fortnight' and 'Guilty As Sin,' seemingly allude to their time together.
A close friend of Healy told Us Weekly that he still has conflicting emotions about Swift's album, which was released on April 19th.
“He loves the attention it's brought to him, [but] he also thinks it's hilarious because at no time [were they] ever serious.”
The source further expressed that the 'lyrical content' had also left the ‘About You’ singer 'completely blindsided.'
The couple's relationship was initially rumored to have begun in April 2023, coinciding with the confirmation of Swift's split from her ex, Joe Alwyn, during the same month.
During May 2023, the couple was frequently seen together in New York City publicly holding hands and even visiting a recording studio together. Additionally, Matty attended several of Taylor's Eras Tour concerts in Nashville and Philadelphia.
However, their romance came to an end last June, as confirmed by a source who stated to People that while they enjoyed each other's company, their relationship was always casual, and they are no longer romantically involved.
