Police in Lahore on Thursday saved a newlywed couple from a major ordeal by recovering Rs200,000 in gift money and two tolas of gold.

According to details, a taxi driver had dropped off the bride and groom at their home, but they inadvertently left Rs200,000 in gift money, two tolas of gold, and the bride’s valuable dress in the vehicle.

SP Cantt Awais Shafiq stated that a special team was formed to quickly trace the driver and the vehicle. Within a few hours, SHO Mustafaabad and his team successfully located the car and driver.

Shafiq noted that the citizen, Tayyab, expressed his gratitude to the police for returning the Rs200,000, two tolas of gold, and the bride’s valuable dress.

He thanked the police profusely and offered numerous prayers. The police remain ever-vigilant to protect the lives and property of the public.
