Four held for attacking policewoman

Police received information that woman official had been subjected to violence while trying to protect her brother

The police arrested four people after a lady sub-inspector, along with her sister and brother, were attacked and injured by 13 people in Nishatabad.

Police officers reached the spot on receiving information that a woman official had been subjected to violence while trying to protect her brother.

The police arrested four of the accused and registered a case.

According to the police report, Amon Asif, the brother of Sub-Inspector Nazia, a resident of Kari Wala, had left his home to buy medicines but he was intercepted by the accused Shoaib, Sahil, Pitras Masih, Mukhtar, Asher, Saud, Hammad alias Balu, Sajid, Abdul Rehman, Shamim Bibi, Ishai, Naseem, etc. They caught and tortured him.

Hearing his voice, the sub-inspector, her sister Shazia and father Allah Ditta came out and tried to rescue him, but they were also attacked.

ASP Peoples Colony Zainab Khalid reached the spot when she received information about the incident. She arrested four of the suspects on the spot and took them to the police station.

According to police sources, the affected lady police officer is a member of the women's protection cell formed at the Tahaffuz Markaz.
