Rumer Willis, the eldest daughter of Bruce Willis, recently appeared on The Today Show to share a positive update on her father's health.
Despite his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia, Bruce is doing well and finding joy in his role as a grandfather to Rumer's one-year-old daughter.
Rumer described him as a "girl dad through and through" and shared how he dotes on her daughter, unlocking childhood memories of his relationship with his own daughters.
The family has been touched by the outpouring of love and support from the public since Bruce's diagnosis.
Rumer emphasised the importance of their vulnerability and transparency in potentially helping other families facing similar struggles.
While Bruce retired from acting in 2022 due to aphasia, his family confirmed his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia in 2023.
There are currently no treatments for the disease, but the family remains hopeful for future advancements.
