Pakistan complete clean sweep against Australia in volleyball series

Green Shirts thrash Kangaroos 26-24, 25-20, and 25-20 in straight sets in the third match

ISLAMABAD:

Pakistan has triumphed over Australia in a three-match volleyball series, securing a clean sweep victory. The final match saw Pakistan defeating Australia 3-0 in sets at the Pakistan Sports Complex’s Liaquat Gymnasium.

The Australian team, known as the Kangaroos, were unable to halt the winning streak of the Green Shirts. Pakistan won the third match with scores of 26-24, 25-20, and 25-20.

Chairman of the Prime Minister's Youth Programme, Rana Mashhood, was the chief guest at the closing ceremony. He, along with Chaudhry Yaqoob, distributed the awards.

Pakistan had also won the first and second matches against Australia with straight sets victories.

This series marked Australia's first time playing volleyball in Pakistan.
