Prince Harry and Meghan Markle recently had a successful 72-hour trip to Nigeria promoting the Invictus Games, but royal expert Tom Quinn noted that Harry's sense of achievement is marred by ongoing family tensions.

Speaking to the Mirror, Quinn highlighted the emotional struggle Harry faces, despite the positive reception in Nigeria.

"Harry and Meghan see their recent trip to Nigeria as a huge success," Quinn explained. "But for Harry, every success is another kind of failure while his family refuses to acknowledge his efforts and steadfastly refuse to apologize for everything that had happened in the past."

The visit, intended to bolster support for the Invictus Games—a sporting event founded by Prince Harry for wounded, injured, and sick servicemen and women—was marked by enthusiastic public engagement and significant media coverage.

Yet, Prince Harry's apparent bitterness, even when accompanied by Meghan Markle, who frequently held his hand during public appearances, did not go unnoticed.

Despite his personal feelings, Prince Harry and Meghan's message to the Nigerian people suggested a hopeful outlook.

They hinted at the possibility of future visits, underscoring their commitment to causes they hold dear.

The trip to Nigeria comes on the heels of the 10th anniversary of the Invictus Games, celebrated in the UK on May 8, 2024.

Notably, no member of the royal family attended the event, despite invitations extended by Prince Harry.

This absence has reportedly deepened Harry's sense of isolation and lack of familial support.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s involvement in the Invictus Games continues to be a focal point of their public life, showcasing their dedication to supporting veterans and their families.

However, the persistent strain with the royal family casts a shadow over their endeavors.
