RAWALPINDI:

Police claimed to have resolved the murder mystery of a police constable in the Narar area of Kahuta police station in Rawalpindi on Tuesday.

According to police, the wife of the victim, Saleh Babar, and her paramour were involved in his murder. Both the accused killed the victim by planning. The police have arrested both of the accused.

Kahuta DSP Tahir Sikandar told a press conference that police constable Saleh Babar was shot and killed a few days ago on his way to the market.

Following the murder, a case was registered against accused Adnan on the complaint of the victim’s father. When the investigation was launched, it was reported that Adnan was also injured in the incident. The accused adopted the stance that he resisted the robbery and got injured while the robbers escaped. However, during the investigation, Adnan’s behaviour was found to be suspicious, after which he was arrested and investigated.

During the investigation, it was revealed that the accused had been in an illicit relationship with Resam Adila, the wife of the deceased, for the last three years. The accused is married and a father of four children.

The deceased got married to Resam one and a half months ago, and Adnan and Resam were not happy with this marriage so they both decided to remove Babar from their way.

DSP Sikandar said accused Risam sent her husband Babar to the market from home on the pretext of changing her shoes and at the same time intimated Adnan by a phone call who shot and killed Babar and tried to give the incident a colour of robbery. However, both the accused were arrested after the revelations were made during the investigation.

The DSP further said that the police team collected investigative evidence with the help of human intelligence and modern technology. The accused will be charge sheeted with concrete evidence.
