Lady Gaga says her version of Harley Quinn is “vulnerable” and “sweet”!

As the official DCU seeks a new direction under James Gunn's leadership, 'Joker: Folie à Deux' will continue in its own alternate universe, introducing Lady Gaga as a new version of Harley Quinn.

During a recent interview with Access Hollywood, discussing The Chromatica Ball concert for HBO, the actress and singer shared insights into her portrayal of the enigmatic comic book character, Quinn.

Following the beloved live-action portrayal by Margot Robbie and the recent animated rendition voiced by Kayley Cuoco, Gaga unveils her unique take on "Lee", promising a rendition unlike anything fans have witnessed before. She remarked:

"You know, Lee is very special to me. She's a really vulnerable, sweet person. My version of Harley is mine, and it's very authentic to this movie and these characters. I don't want to give anything from the movie away. I think it's really something you have to experience in the theater. This film has music, it has dance, it has amazing acting in it. I love working with Joaquin [Phoenix]. I love working with Todd [Phillips]. What I will say is that I've never done anything like I've done in this movie before, so it's all going to be completely brand new and really fun."

Unlike the majority of superhero characters who originated in comic books, Harley Quinn made her debut in the animated series Batman: The Animated Series in 1992, specifically in the episode titled "Joker's Favor".

Initially known as Harleen Frances Quinzel, she is a psychiatrist at Arkham Asylum who starts treating Batman's archenemy and eventually develops romantic feelings for him.

In Joker 2, viewers will witness the inception of this romance, which ultimately blossomed into one of the most tumultuous love stories ever portrayed.
