Tourism project for Ziarat okayed
To bolster tourism in the province, Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfaraz Bugti has announced an ambitious plan to develop Ziarat into a premier tourist destination in Pakistan.
Chairing a review meeting of the Ziarat Development Authority, Bugti emphasized the adoption of successful strategies from the Galiyat Development Authority in Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa to ensure effective tourism planning.
The Chief Minister highlighted the necessity of creating a pilgrimage tourism project modelled after the scenic Galiyat region which is renowned for its tourist-friendly infrastructure and natural beauty as well as its attraction for tourists.
He ordered the project director to integrate these insights into Ziarat’s development blueprint.
Upon his arrival, the Chief Minister was received by Sibi Division Commissioner Bashir Ahmed Bangulzai and other high-level officers.
During the meeting, Bugti reiterated his commitment to introducing practical policies aimed at promoting tourism across Balochistan, with a special focus on pilgrimage tourism.
“Resources will be provided without delay for viable tourism projects,” he pledged while underlining the provincial government’s dedication to supporting and accelerating tourism initiatives.
