The Election Commission has sought a report from the returning officer of PP-32 Gujarat constituency within three days, and issued notice to the successful candidate, Musa Elahi, on an application moved by Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, alleging massive rigging in the elections held on February 8.
During a hearing of the application, Elahi’s lawyer Advocate Aamir Saeed Rawn said that election was rigged in entire constituency. He pointed out that at 18 polling stations, less than 10% of women cast their votes, while at some polling stations, the ratio went up to even 91%

The lawyer brought to the notice of the commission that 832 votes were cast by people, who were either abroad or had died. When Commission member Ikramullah Khan asked how he could prove his contention, Rawn said that death certificates had been attached with the application.
Later the commission sought report from the returning officer of PP 32 Gujarat within three days and issued notice to successful candidate Musa Elahi. Further hearing of the case was adjourned till May 29.
