Jelly Roll brought down the house with his performance in the finale of ‘The Voice’ this week, but rumours about his future may be making even more noise.

Fresh off an ACM win, the rapper-singer debuted his new single ‘I Am Not Okay’ on the show's finale. This comes as fans buzz about him potentially replacing Katy Perry on ‘American Idol’ next season.

Jelly Roll was originally supposed to perform on ‘The Voice’ last season with Lainey Wilson, but illness forced him to cancel. This time around, he delivered a powerful performance of his new music, with fans praising the song's message of hope.

With Katy Perry leaving the show after seven seasons, speculation is rife about her replacement. Jelly Roll's guest mentoring stint on Idol this season, coupled with Perry's public endorsement, has made him a frontrunner.

The Country Music Television Award winner even playfully claimed he's already accepted the job without a confirmed offer.

Recently, ‘The Voice’ crowned Asher HaVon as its Season 25 winner, marking Team Reba’s second win of the show.

Other celebrities who performed in the two-part finale include Lainey Wilson, Kate Hudson, The Black Keys, and Keith Urban.
