Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, underscored the importance of nurturing international collaborations and maximising market opportunities for Pakistani businesses during a session on Tuesday. A press statement revealed that Federal Minister for Commerce, Jam Kamal Khan, and Federal Minister for Communication, Abdul Aleem Khan, jointly chaired a cabinet committee dedicated to advancing Pakistani enterprises in global markets.
The committee has been assigned the crucial task of formulating recommendations for Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, drawing insights from various industry sectors. In his address, Jam Kamal pointed out the abundance of skilled workforce and competitive labour costs in Pakistan, thereby highlighting the country’s vast potential across multiple sectors. This initiative aims to tap into key opportunities in engineering, construction, services, IT, and other industries. It will utilise both domestic and international exhibitions, supported by Trade and Investment Officers, to bolster Pakistan’s global market presence and catalyse economic growth.
The committee is set to convene its next meeting in the first week of June.
