Scoffing at the 15-day deadline and stern warnings, Adviser to the Prime Minister on Political and Public Affairs Rana Sanaullah on Saturday said that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur’s tough talk was just hot air, asserting that the provincial government would have to toe the federal government’s line.
Speaking to the press, Sanaullah stressed that the government had no bones to pick with negotiations between the PTI and the establishment. "If the PTI wants to talk to the establishment, when did we ever stand in the way?"
"During their rule, PTI aimed to crush the opposition. When the establishment didn't back them, the party started crying about ‘Mir Jafars’ and ‘Mir Sadiqs’," he added.
"This is PTI's stance: that the establishment should meddle in the country's political affairs," he alleged.
“Right from the get-go, the PTI has been at loggerheads with the establishment,” Sanaullah said, adding, “The party wants the establishment to throw its weight behind them and meddle in the country’s politics.”
Sanaullah also weighed in on a leaked photo of the former prime minister after his Supreme Court appearance via video link on Thursday. He alleged that the photo also seemed to reveal that Imran was possibly being given the red-carpet treatment in jail.
