PPP Central Punjab President Raja Pervez Ashraf on Friday announced a fact-finding committee to ascertain who was responsible for party chairman Bilawal Bhutto-Zardari’s defeat in NA-127, Lahore in the February 8 general elections.
The three-member body includes Khan Asif Khan, Imtiaz Safdar Warriach, and Rana Ikram Rabbani.
The members of the fact-finding committee will decide the procedure of the investigation themselves.
The fact-finding committee should submit its report to the PPP Central Punjab president by June 15, party leader Hassan Murtaza said.

In the contest for NA-127, PML-N’s Attaullah Tarar emerged victorious with 98,210 votes defeating PTI-backed candidate Malik Zaheer Abbas and the PPP chairman.
Abbas came in second with 82,230 votes while Bilawal secured 15,005.
Following Bilawal’s defeat, PPP Lahore president Aslam Gill stepped down from his post.
The PPP Central Executive Committee sought Gill’s resignation and a thorough investigation into the party’s defeat.
