Olivia Munn has shared her decision to undergo an egg retrieval procedure amidst her "exhausting" battle with cancer, as she and her partner John Mulaney are keen to have "one more baby."
The 43-year-old actress and already a mother to a two-year-old son Malcolm revealed her breast cancer diagnosis in March this year, stemming from April 2023.
She has since undergone four surgeries, including a double mastectomy, inducing menopause due to treatment.
In an interview with Good Morning America's Michael Strahan, Olivia affirmed her choice for egg retrieval post-double mastectomy, despite cancer's hormone dependency, stating, "John and I talked about it... That's scary because I have cancer that feeds off of hormones, so I knew there was a risk."
Expressing her desire for another child, Olivia stated, "I really just hope it works out for us to have another baby... I just want one more baby."
Reflecting on her treatment's toll, the actress shared, "hormone suppression therapy is brutal... My quality of life was so minimal. I wasn't able to be there for my baby."
Olivia, who began dating comedian John in 2021 and welcomed Malcolm in November the same year, praised his unwavering support, describing him as "the best human being" with boundless compassion.
When asked about what she has learned about herself this past year Munn replied, "I've learned that I'm a lot braver than I thought I was."
