Olivia Rodrigo's ‘SOUR’ becomes most streamed album by a female on Spotify
Olivia Rodrigo's ‘SOUR’ has achieved a significant milestone as the most-streamed album by a female artist in Spotify's history, nearly three years after its release.
Originally launched in May 2021, the debut record surpassed Dua Lipa's self-titled debut with 12.258 billion streams, as reported by Tag24.
According to Tag24, while Bad Bunny's ‘Un Verano Sin Ti’ maintains the top position on the overall charts with over 16 billion streams, ‘SOUR’ secures the sixth spot, following artists like Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, and The Weeknd.
Notably, Taylor Swift's recent record-breaking single-day streaming with ‘The Tortured Poets Department’ does not place her in the overall top ten.
Dua Lipa's ‘Future Nostalgia’ and Post Malone's ‘Beerbongs & Bentleys’ claim spots 8 and 9 respectively, while Billie Eilish's debut LP, ‘When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go?’, concludes the list.
Olivia Rodrigo's ‘SOUR’ garnered her three Grammy Awards in 2022, including Best New Artist, Best Pop Solo Performance, and Best Pop Vocal Album.
