KARACHI:

Voices of solidarity with Palestinian Muslims amid recent tragedies in American and European universities have echoed in Pakistani academic circles. At the University of Karachi (KU), a "Wall of Solidarity" has emerged in support of Gaza's victims, located prominently in the Arts lobby. This collaborative effort between the Palestine Academic Forum and the Karachi University Teachers Society (KUTS) aims to raise awareness and express support.

Stretching 33 meters, a banner adorns the wall, launching a signature campaign on Tuesday. Additionally, a student solidarity walk is scheduled for Wednesday, May 15, affirming solidarity with Palestinian Muslims.

The solidarity wall prominently displays messages such as "Solidarity Wall: Stop Genocide in Palestine; We Stand with Palestinians," alongside the flags of Pakistan and Palestine. Teachers and students are encouraged to sign in solidarity, with the Vice Chancellor invited to join the event. The Sindh Professors and Lecturers Association is also part of this initiative, emphasizing broader support within the academic community.
