Solidarity rally supports Palestine on Nakaba
The Palestine Foundation Pakistan staged a rally against the occupation of Palestine by Zionist forces and in solidarity with the Palestinians, commemorating "Yom Nakaba" and denouncing the ongoing atrocities in Gaza.
The rally, which included an ambulance convoy, passed through Sharae Faisal, drawing participation from several ambulances and a special contingent of women bikers, comprising doctors, paramedics, and representatives from all walks of life. Women and children also joined the rally in large numbers.
Led by Secretary General of Palestine Foundation Pakistan Dr Sabir Abu Maryam, the rally proceeded along its designated routes, concluding at Teen Talwar in Clifton.
Participants carried banners and placards demanding an end to the genocide of Palestinians and the restoration of their rights, while also displaying the symbolic "KEY" representing the Palestinian people's right of return.
Various political, social, and religious leaders, including Dr Sabir Abu Maryam, Dr Merajul Huda Siddiqui, Mehfooz Yar Khan, Allama Baqir Zaidi, Muslim Pervaiz, Allama Qazi Ahmad Noorani, Allama Aqeel Anjum, Israr Abbasi, Pirzada Azhar Ali Hamdani, Saqib Nowshahi, Allama Mubasher Hassan, Sadiq Sheikh, Mufti Muhammad Daud, Dr Ali Hassan, lady biker Farkhanda Feroz, and Bashir Khan Saduzai, addressed the participants.
Speakers highlighted the dire medical situation in Gaza, where millions suffer from injuries and lack of access to essential medical facilities.
They called for the expulsion of diplomats of the states that disrespect the United Nations and criticised the United States for its global human rights violations.
Highlighting the ongoing struggle against Israel's occupation of Palestine, the speakers stressed the collective responsibility to defend Palestinian rights. They reiterated that Israel, an illegitimate Zionist state, should return Palestinian lands to its rightful owners and its settlers should repatriate to Europe and Western countries.
The speakers condemned the aggression on Gaza and expressed solidarity with Palestinian resistance movements, including Hamas, Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah, and Ansarullah.
