Atif Aslam lends voice to Malayalam film industry for debut
Beloved global singer Atif Aslam already prides himself in conquering hearts in India and Pakistan. The star's music has often been seen as a thread of commonality between the two nations, with his soulful voice doubling as a soothing balm to the wound of our collective anger.
Now, the musician is all set to make his debut in the Malayalam film industry, and his entry point will be a song for the film Haal. The offering is directed by Prashanth Vijayakumar and features Shane Nigam in the lead role. The actor took to Instagram to share an image with the beloved crooner, penning a note alongside.
Listing widely cherished songs, the actor said, "Almost all your songs are the ones that are always close to my heart. Your voice soothes our soul. I am truly blessed to have gotten the opportunity to meet you and have you lend your voice for a song in Haal. I am already addicted to this song, I hope everyone will love it too."
The choice of film is befitting, too, given that, as per News18, the film revolves around the vitality of music in everyday life. A romantic angle further embellishes the offering. The filming of the movie is set to start in Kozhikode and as the shooting continues, the crew will also travel to Mysore and Jordan. Shane Nigam will join the shooting for the first week of May after his present work is completed. The actor is reportedly busy shooting for the Tamil film Madraskaaran.
