In the Dukki district of Balochistan, two landmine explosions resulted in the loss of one life and injuries to 17 others. The blasts, which reverberated for miles, instigated widespread panic among the local populace.
Levies sources told The Express Tribune the explosions occurred in the Tekhdar Nadi area of Dukki. The first blast occurred when a truck carrying coal inadvertently triggered a landmine, causing significant damage to the vehicle and injuring its driver and cleaner. As bystanders rushed to the scene to assist, a second landmine detonated, exacerbating the casualties.
The injured were promptly transported to the District Headquarters Hospital Dukki, where an emergency response was initiated to provide medical aid to those affected. Senior administration officials and Levies personnel swiftly arrived at the site to manage the aftermath of the blasts.
Balochistan’s Home Minister, Mir Ziaullah Langove, condemned the attacks and issued directives for the immediate apprehension of the perpetrators.
He reassured the public of the government’s unwavering commitment to maintaining peace in Balochistan, emphasizing that those responsible for such acts of terror would be brought to justice.
