Bandits rule the roost in capital

ISLAMABAD:

Robbers and thieves successfully struck parts of the capital in the last 24 hours, depriving citizens of two vehicles, six motorcycles, 14 cell phones, gold jewellery and hundreds of thousands of cash in 22 hits of street crimes and thefts. Police registered cases and launched investigation.

Some robbers approached Shahid Mehmood in Gandum Godam area in Sabzi Mandi police limits and looted Rs2 million at gunpoint. The suspects shot and injured the victim when he offered resistance. Ahmad Mohdullah told the Sumbal police that unknown motorcyclists took away his mobile phone in Chongi No 26 at gunpoint.

Dr Jahanzaib alerted the Shalimar police that his maid Nisha Khalid stole Rs200,000. Mustafa Shah told the Shalimar police that unknown thieves stole his mobile phone from Markaz F-11, while Hussain Akhtar told the Kohsar police that unknown persons stole a mobile phone and Rs5,000 from Sector E-7. Mubashir Imtiaz complained to the Abpara police that unknown thieves broke into his shop in Rehman Arcade and took away stitch over lock machine.

Unidentified thieves stole the mobile phone of Tahir Mehmood Awan in the Hamak police precincts and the mobile phone of Hamza in the Lohi Bhair police limits. Some robbers approached Mujtaba Hussian on the Express Highway in the Hamak police limits and deprived him of a mobile phone, ID card, motorcycle registration book and some at gunpoint.

Ehsan Elahi complained to the Hamak police that some thieves stole a cage on Kallar Syedan Road, Jameel Akhtar told the Sahala police that unknown motorcyclists snatched Rs200,000 and a mobile phone when he was going to Nai Abadi, and Muhammad Hussain Akhtar informed the Sabzi Mandi police that unknown thieves stole his mobile phone in Mah Mandi Mor.

Muhammad Asif told the Karachi Company police that thieves stole his mobile phone in Sector G-9/2, while Tauqeer Asghar told the Karachi Company police that a swindler took away his mobile phone. Raja Syam Qamar Jaral told the Shalimar police that the unknown thieves stole his diamond ring.
