Tekken fans are in for a treat: the latest downloadable content character – Tekken 7’s Lidia Sobieska – will be launched this summer for Tekken 8.
Game developers Bandai Namco Entertainment (BNE) announced the new character at Japan’s largest gaming festival, EVO Japan 2024.
The company also showcased a teaser trailer, featuring their new character.
Lidia Sobieska marks the second DLC character to be announced for Tekken 8, following Eddy Gordo, who was announced earlier this month.
There will be two additional announcements for fighters joining the game this fall and winter in the Year 1 Pass.
Season 1 of the game will also include a number of free updates, including a new stage (“Seaside Resort”), new main story chapter, exploring what the Season 1 characters were doing during Tekken 8’s cinematic story mode.
There will also be a new “Photo Mode,” allowing players to craft and capture their own epic fight moments.
Tekken 8 is now available on several platforms, including PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC via Steam.
