Get ready, Potterheads! A thrilling new way to experience the magic of the Harry Potter series is on the horizon. Audible and Pottermore Publishing are joining forces to create a captivating full-cast audiobook series based on J.K. Rowling's seven original novels.
Scheduled for release in late 2025, these audiobooks promise to immerse listeners in the Wizarding World like never before. Over 100 actors will lend their voices, complemented by stunning sound design, Dolby Atmos technology, and real-world soundscapes.
Fans of the existing single-narrator audiobooks needn't worry, as those versions narrated by Stephen Fry and Jim Dale will remain available. However, this new series will offer a completely unique and richly detailed listening experience.
"With millions upon millions of Audible listeners devouring Harry Potter at an astonishing rate, we are thrilled about the opportunity to be part of this next chapter," said Audible CEO Bob Carrigan.
Neil Blair, chairman of Pottermore Publishing, added, "J.K. Rowling’s storytelling lends itself perfectly to the application of new audiobook technologies, and we’re certain this sophisticated, immersive audio experience will…introduce a whole new generation of listeners to the wizarding world.”
Stay tuned for more details, including casting announcements and global release dates. This new series is completely separate from the Warner Bros. film franchise and promises to be a must-have for any Harry Potter enthusiast.
