Thandiwe Newton joins Jenna Ortega's 'Wednesday' Season 2 cast

The 'Westworld' star is coming to the hit Netflix series 'Wednesday' in its highly anticipated second season.

Thandiwe Newton, acclaimed for her Emmy-winning role in 'Westworld,' has been added to the Season 2 cast.  While her character remains shrouded in mystery, her acting prowess promises to elevate the already captivating show.

Newton's extensive acting experience spans both television and film, with notable appearances in projects like 'Crash' and 'The Pursuit of Happyness.'  She joins fellow newcomer Steve Buscemi in expanding the world of 'Wednesday.'

Details about Season 2 remain scarce, aside from Jenna Ortega's return as the iconic Wednesday Addams. Season 1 left off with Wednesday foiling a sinister plot against Nevermore Academy.  Production, delayed by the 2023 Hollywood strikes, is set to begin in Ireland this April.

'Wednesday' creators Alfred Gough and Miles Millar serve as co-showrunners, with Tim Burton continuing his involvement from Season 1. The success of the first season, which garnered multiple Emmy nominations, undoubtedly fuels excitement for what's to come.
