Minister clarifies cooperation with army could not be ignored

Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa’s Food Minister, Zahir Shah Toru, highlighted the grave challenge of maintaining law and order in the province, emphasizing its significant impact on security. In response to this pressing concern, the provincial cabinet convened a meeting with the Corps Commander to address the issue comprehensively.

Toru underscored the dedication of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government, led by Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, in spearheading transformative projects aligned with the vision of Imran Khan, aimed at enhancing the welfare of citizens. Notably, efforts have been directed towards reinstating health cards and disbursing substantial cash assistance to underprivileged individuals during Ramazan.

During Eid, Toru engaged with local elders, party affiliates, and constituents at his residence, reiterating the government’s commitment to prioritizing the development of Mardan, the province’s second-largest city. Initiatives are underway to secure funding for the completion of vital projects, including the DHQ Hospital and Benazir Children Hospital, with aims for their fulfillment by June of the current year.

Emphasizing the proactive stance of the government, Toru addressed specific security concerns by convening discussions with the Corps Commander Peshawar, recognizing the paramount importance of collaboration with security agencies to safeguard public welfare. Moreover, he commended the concerted efforts of the food department and administrative authorities in ensuring price stability and averting artificial inflation during Ramadan, with personal oversight yielding positive outcomes.

In conclusion, Toru reiterated the government’s unwavering commitment to fostering development, enhancing security, and upholding the welfare of citizens across Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa.

He said that being a responsible government, it is necessary to communicate with the security agencies to be aware of the security situation so that necessary measures can be taken to protect the public.
