Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif paid tribute to the Pakistan Army, police and security agencies of the country on Thursday for ensuring peace and order on the occasion of Eidul Fitr, said a statement by the Prime Minister's Office (PMO).
The premier appreciated the actions of the soldiers and officers of the army, the IGs of the four provinces, heads of security agencies and other officers.
"The officers and personnel of the Pakistan Army and security agencies have made endless sacrifices for the establishment of peace and order in the country," said the prime minister.
The statement added that Shehbaz also appreciated the security forces of the country for performing their duties while being away from their loved ones.

Pakistanis celebrated Eidul Fitr a day earlier with religious fervour and devotion with large prayer gatherings organized in mosques, Eidgahs, and open grounds.
Special prayers were offered for national security, prosperity, and the well-being of fellow Muslims, particularly those in Palestine.
Strict security measures were also taken on the occasion to avoid any untoward incident.
