Balochistan ombudsman inspects health facilities

Balochistan Ombudsman Nazar Muhammad Baloch visited the Trauma Centre of the Civil Hospital in Quetta on Friday to review its health facilities. Protocol Officer of the Ombudsman Secretariat Aftab Ahmed and other assistants accompanied him on the occasion.

The purpose of the provincial ombudsman’s visit to the Trauma Centre was to assess the condition of the injured patients admitted there. Trauma Centre Managing Director Dr Arbab Kamran welcomed him upon his arrival and briefed him on the performance of the facility and the medical facilities provided to the patients there.

He also inspected the Trauma Centre’s emergency room, wards, the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), operation theatres, the emergency operation theatre, the Computed Tomography (CT) scan, X-ray and Ultrasound facilities, and the pharmacy. He also visited the patients admitted in wards and inquired about the medical care they were receiving.

The patients and their relatives expressed satisfaction over the excellent performance of the doctors and other paramedical staff at the Trauma Centre and the medical facilities provided.

Baloch appreciated the performance of the doctors and other staff of the Trauma Centre while expressing his satisfaction over its standard of cleanliness.
