Brad Pitt has reportedly ended his pursuit of shared custody of his children with Angelina Jolie, signaling the end of their years-long divorce battle.

An insider stated to DailyMail.com that Pitt will no longer contest the matter, granting Jolie primary custody with visitation rights.

  • The Split: The couple, dubbed 'Brangelina', began dating in 2005 amidst controversy, as Pitt was still married to Jennifer Aniston. They married in 2014 and share six children (three biological, three adopted).
  • 2016: The Turning Point: An alleged physical altercation on a private plane led to their separation. Angelina claimed Pitt "choked" one child and "struck" another, leaving her feeling like a "hostage". Pitt's rep initially denied the claims, later saying: "Brad has accepted responsibility for what he did but will not for things he didn't do."
  • Custody Battle: Brad sought joint custody, which was granted in 2021 but later overturned. The decision is partially influenced by their children reaching adulthood. Only Shiloh (17), and twins Knox and Vivienne (15) remain minors, with Shiloh turning 18 in May. Older children Maddox (22), Pax (20), and Zahara (19) are not covered by custody agreements. A source close to Pitt calls this "textbook parental alienation", while Jolie's camp states: "Brad has nobody to blame but himself."

  • Winery Feud: After Angelina sold her share of their French winery, Pitt sued her. Subsequently, Angelina's company sued Pitt for mismanagement of funds. A recent ruling favored Jolie, with her lawyer stating: "She truly harbors no ill-will toward" Pitt.

While the emotional wounds may take longer to heal, Brad Pitt's decision to drop the custody battle marks a significant step towards a legal conclusion in this drawn-out divorce saga. However, the ongoing winery dispute suggests their post-split relationship remains complex.
