Christina Applegate has shared the details of the "intense" pain she experienced during her multiple Sclerosis relapse.

In 2021, the actress described her diagnosis as the "worst thing" to happen in her life.

“I have 30 lesions on my brain,” she explained during her appearance on Dax Shepard’s podcast on Monday. “My biggest one is behind my right eye, so my right eye hurts a lot.”

She admitted on Tuesday's episode of her podcast that she couldn't walk or shower.

“My legs have never been this bad so I don’t know what’s going on,” the actress explained. “Like, no energy. Legs are just done. I can’t get circulation. I can’t get them to stop hurting.”

MS is a nervous system disease. It happens when the body’s immune system attacks the protective covering around nerves, as stated by the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.

In a later part of the podcast, Applegate referred to herself as the "worst MSer." She admitted that on bad pain days, she would rather go back to bed than stretch her muscles.

Applegate underwent a double mastectomy in 2008, which removed her breast cancer.

In 2017, she underwent preventive surgery, removing her ovaries and fallopian tubes. The decision was prompted by the death of her cousin from ovarian cancer.

Katherine Bhana | 7 months ago | Reply Sending you prayers I was diagnosed in 2010 and seemed to go down hill quickly. In six years I could no longer work and had real problems with balance and joint pain. Brain fog was really bad sometimes. I took rebif and had a lot of problems and had to quit. I have been on techfadera not spelled right for a few years and have several side effects. I felt lost and decided to quit my meds due to side effects. Our care provider introduced me to Ayurvedic treatment. I had a total decline of all symptoms including vision problems numbness and others. Sometimes i totally forget i ever had MS. Visit Natural Herbs Centre web-site naturalherbscentre. com. I am very pleased with this treatment. I eat well sleep well and exercise regularly. God bless all MS Warriors
